The Department of the Air Force, through the 424th Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker AFB, is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify potential sources for the procurement of flight display units for the KC-46 platform. The requirement involves the new manufacture of 14 units, identified by NSN 6610-01-653-5172KT and Part Number 187286-001. Potential sources must be capable of providing all labor, materials, and equipment for the manufacture of component parts, including inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping. Additional responsibilities may include supply chain management, logistics planning, and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages. This effort is not a formal solicitation, and no funds are currently available; it is intended to determine the best acquisition strategy and whether the requirement should be a Small Business Set-Aside. The government is interested in all business types, including large and various small business categories, under NAICS code 336413. Interested vendors must provide detailed business information, ownership status, and complete a Source Approval Request package as specified in the Qualification Requirements. Technical data is provided via an Engineering Data List, though sources may be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs to become an approved provider. Responses should be submitted to the 424th SCMS workflow email, with SAR packages sent via DoD SAFE.
