Martin County hereby announces its intention to recommend the award of a single source purchase agreement to LIBERTY TIRE RECYCLING, for the disposal and recycling of waste tires generated at the Martin County Transfer & Recycling Facility. This service is necessary for the continued processing of approximately 405 tons of tires accumulated during a single year.
Martin County currently maintains an interlocal agreement with the Solid Waste Authority (SWA) of Palm Beach County for the disposal of waste tires; however, logistical, and operational challenges limit our ability to rely solely on the SWA facility.
