Announcing the 2020 Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services Industry Engagement Days DLA Disposition Services is inviting interested contractors and industry partners to the 2020 DLA Disposition Services Contracting Industry Engagement Days. This three-day event in the greater Battle Creek, Michigan area is scheduled for TBD. Dates will be provided to registrants in the near future. DLA Disposition Services Contracting topics will include a variety of subjects related to Operational Contracting with a special emphasis on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Hazardous Waste Disposal Contracting, and Public Sales Contracting. This division is interested in engaging with all types of vendors, but has a special interest in engaging with vendors who have registered to participate in the MHE Demonstrations Day. Disposition Services is currently interested in leveraging existing commercial off-the-shelf technology to enhance MHE safety and warehouse operational effectiveness. We are inviting vendors to demonstrate on-site their available technologies with the potential to enhance our safety and operational effectiveness including, but not limited to: cameras, proximity sensors & Ability to capture sensors holistically and track in real time (speed, bumps, ), lighting, mirrors-side/rear view, un-manned MHE to stow property , and slings/cradles adaptable for commercial vehicles. The existing equipment we are seeking additional component capabilities for include: 4k (elec, dsl, lpg), 6k (dsl, lpg) and 15k forklifts. An underlying concern to the safety add-on components we are interested in, is the aspect of installation support for these components.
