Full Description

A. Dolores Water Conservancy District operates the Dolores Project for the Bureau of Reclamation, providing seasonal, pressurized irrigation to over 60,000 acres in southwest Colorado. Six pumping plants located along the Dove Creek and South Canals, northwest of Cortez, CO, draw and pressurize water from the canals for irrigation to the surrounding area. Five of these pumping plants Cahone, Dove Creek, Fairview, Pleasant View, and Ruin Canyon contain a number of vertical turbine pumps with approximately 50,000 operating hours. The objective of this project is to rebuild/overhaul and recondition these pumps, 16 in total, to an as-new condition, which will occur over the next three years, between the months of October and April. The intent of this contract is to procure all the major hydraulic repairs and equipment needed for complete rebuild/overhaul.
