Domestic Property Health & Safety Check / Service

Ashfield District Council has awarded a contract to Denton Nickels (UK) Limited to implement the Domestic Property Health and Safety Check and Service programme for council-owned domestic properties. The contract, valued at 4,161,505 pounds excluding VAT, is effective from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2029, with the potential for extensions until 2033. The scope of work involves comprehensive safety inspections and servicing, including gas health and safety checks, carcass pipe-work tightness testing, and periodic electrical installation condition reporting. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for servicing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, un-vented cylinders, heat interface units, air source heat pumps, warm air recovery systems, and thermostatic mixing valves. The agreement also covers the execution of remedial repairs identified during these safety checks that fall outside the standard servicing scope.
