The City of Columbus's Department of Public Service is seeking to establish a contract with a single vendor to supply and install various equipment on a 2024 Ford Ranger provided by the city. The scope includes outfitting the vehicle with a fully operational light bar, strobes, digital measuring instrument, vehicle bed storage, tablet mount, and reflective markings, with all components and wiring included in the installation cost. While specific manufacturer models are referenced for guidance, proposals for alternative materials or equipment that meet or exceed the specifications are acceptable, with all alternates clearly identified. The city reserves the right to approve or reject any proposed alternates based on compliance with the requirements, and not all items may be awarded depending on budget constraints. Interested vendors must submit questions by September 13th and proposals by September 20th through the City of Columbus Vendor Services portal. The project is classified under NAICS code 423710, with a contract value estimated between $20,000 and $50,000, and is targeted at vendors capable of providing comprehensive vehicle upfitting services within Ohio. The city emphasizes that all installation work must be completed by one company, and the process involves coordination with city officials to ensure proper control placement and functionality. Additional details and submission procedures are available on the city's vendor portal.
