DRYDOCK: USCGC COBIA DRY DOCK AVAILABILITY FY2026

The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has issued a Sources Sought Notice for market research regarding the drydock availability and repairs for the USCGC COBIA (WPB-87331) scheduled for Fiscal Year 2026. This notice is intended to identify capable commercial sources and does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal or a commitment to award a contract. The anticipated performance period is 64 calendar days, beginning approximately April 21, 2026, and ending June 24, 2026. All work is to be performed at the contractor's facility, and there are no geographical restrictions for the vessel. The extensive scope of work includes structural analysis, hull plating renewal, and preservation of the underwater body, superstructure, and masts. Mechanical and propulsion requirements involve the realignment of the main engine and reduction gear, renewal of propulsion shafts, propellers, and rudder assemblies, and maintenance of the sea water system. Additionally, the project covers electrical system inspections, HVAC system modifications, tank cleaning, and various system replacements such as the fire alarm control panel and intrusion detection system.
