Dump Trucks with Snow and Ice Removal Provisions

The City of Ames, Iowa (City) is requesting bids from qualified Vendors for four (4) new dump trucks with snow and ice removal provisions.  There will be no trade-in with this request.  Vendors are invited to submit bids for equipment that meet or exceed the specifications.
Bids will be accepted by the City of Ames until 2:00 p.m. CDT on February 2, 2024, in AmesBids at amesbids.ionwave.net or delivered to City of Ames, Purchasing Attn: Procurement Specialist, 515 Clark Ave, Ames, IA 50010, City of Ames Contract No. 2024-101.  Must be a registered supplier to submit a bid in AmesBids.
Questions and requests for clarification of requirements for this equipment are encouraged.  All questions and requests for clarification to the Invitation to Bid shall be received no later than 5:00 p.m. CDT on January 26, 2024.  Said questions are to be submitted in AmesBids at amesbids.ionwave.net.   All bids shall be submitted in AmesBids at amesbids.ionwave.net or delivered to City of Ames, Purchasing Attn: Purchasing Manager, 515 Clark Ave, Ames, IA 50010.  All bids received after the deadline for submission of proposals as stated herein shall not be considered and shall be return to the late Vendor unopened. Vendor assumes all risk associated with delivery of their proposal prior to the specified time deadline. Bids shall be uploaded to the "Response Attachment" in AmesBids.
The schedule represents the City's best estimate of the schedule that will be followed.  If a component of this schedule is delayed, the rest of the schedule will be shifted accordingly.

Pre-Bid Video Conference: January 12, 2024 @ 10:00 AM
Final Date to Submit Written Questions: January 26, 2024 @ 5:00 PM Bids Due: February 2, 2024 @ 2:00 PM
The City of Ames Purchasing Division is the only authorized source of bid documents. Bid documents obtained from any other source may have an incomplete set of documents. Companies using proposal documents not obtained from the City of Ames Purchasing Division on AmesBids are advised to visit amesbids.ionwave.net to enable receipt of necessary addenda. Reproduction of these documents without the express permission of the City of Ames is prohibited.  
No Company may withdraw their bid for at least sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
It is expressly understood that any costs associated with preparing a submittal shall be at the expense of the Vendor.
The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
