Duncan Hill Farm

The Duncan Hill Farm project involves the establishment of a small outdoor commercial cannabis license for 10,000 square feet of mixed-light cultivation. Located on a 13.84-acre site zoned as Rural Residential in Trinity County, California, the project is situated at APN 017-380-37-00. The site currently features one non-cultivation residential dwelling and is surrounded primarily by undeveloped land. Infrastructure for the project will utilize existing onsite resources, including a well for water supply, 70,000 gallons of stored water in existing tanks, and an existing septic system for wastewater management. Access to the property is provided via a private driveway, and a 150-square-foot designated area is available on-site for cannabis waste composting. The Department of Cannabis Control Environmental Evaluation Office has issued a Notice of Exemption for this project, certifying that it is exempt from further environmental review under CEQA Guidelines Section 15183. This exemption is based on the project's consistency with local zoning and community plans, as well as the fact that the operations will result in no tree removal, grading, or disturbance of native shrubs. The project is being processed in accordance with the California Business and Profession Code and is intended for filing with the Office of Planning and Research State Clearinghouse.
