DLA Distribution Susquehanna has identified a requirement to replace crane wheels with those that meet the exact specifications originally provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Intelligrated Systems LLC. The current crane wheels from other brands have led to safety concerns, prompting the decision to procure wheels solely from Intelligrated Systems due to their proprietary knowledge and unique capability to produce the exact components needed to ensure proper fit, function, and warranty compliance. This sole source acquisition is consistent with FAR regulations restricting the purchase to the only qualified provider, Intelligrated Systems, based in Mason, Ohio. The contract is under the NAICS code 333923 and is managed by DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. Points of contact for this acquisition include Contract Specialist Joseph Crowley and Acquisition Specialist Kimberly Sprenkle. While the government has issued a notice of intent to award this non-competitive contract, interested parties may submit their capabilities for consideration, although responses are not anticipated. The emphasis of this contract is on safety, technical precision, and maintaining operational integrity through the use of OEM-specified crane wheels.
