AI Contract Overview
This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to gather market research and preliminary information regarding the potential procurement of build-to-print test and maintenance kits for the E-6 Portable Automated Test Set (PATS) 70-A Fuel Quantity Indicating System (FQIS). The kits are intended to support the 516th Software Engineering Squadron in replacing legacy test equipment used for the E-6 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). The government is not currently soliciting bids, and this RFI does not represent a binding contract or promise of future procurement. Instead, it is a planning tool to assess industry capabilities related to manufacturing and delivering ruggedized test sets including cases, labels, cables, interface adapters, and self-test plugs under a firm-fixed-price contract. Interested vendors are requested to provide detailed company profiles outlining their experience in manufacturing test equipment, past contracts with the government or commercial clients within the last three years, business size and classification under NAICS Code 334417, and their access to government databases. Additional information sought includes expertise in producing ruggedized built-to-print cables, alternatives to the designated NAICS code if applicable, a proposed work schedule, cost estimates, and subcontracting plans if relevant. Only vendors with active Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification and a current DD Form 2345 will receive solicitation documents upon request. The point of contact for this RFI is Kevin Hutchison at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, with responses due by June 22, 2026.
