The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for East River Road Watermain Extension.
The work shall consist of, but not be limited to, extension of a 12” watermain along East River Road and connecting to the water distribution system serving Palm Port, approximately 14,000 LF of watermain with associated fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances. Installation will include two (2) horizontal directional drills within the right-of-way.
The Base Bid portion of this project will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and services and performing all work necessary to construct a water main extension within the right-of-way, which includes clearing and grubbing, constructing new water mains and avoiding conflicts with existing utilities by open cut and horizontal directional drill (HDD), constructing new water service assemblies by open cut and HDD, constructing new fire hydrant assemblies, constructing new valves, constructing a new meter and backflow preventer assembly at Palm Port Subdivision, pressure testing the new water mains, disinfecting the new water mains, restoring driveways and side streets with pavement at utility crossings, and grading and seeding/sodding that is incidental to the utility work.
