Eaton UPS Units

EATON Corporation The Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base, California, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Eaton Corporation., 8609 Six Forks Rd. Raleigh, NC, 27615-2966, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items. Eaton Corporation is the only source for the required equipment parts for Eaton UPS products. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 335999. The following will be procured: Turnkey battery replacement for three Eaton UPS units. Turnkey includes labor, travel, install, removal and disposal of the batteries as well as dock to dock ground for/of the batteries. This notice neither constitutes a RFP or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit their interest and capability to the contract specialist below not later than, 1 August 2016, 8:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time. Based upon the responses to this notice, the Government will determine if this proposed acquisition should be opened to competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
