PROJECT BACKGROUNDEC has identified a requirement to store a large number of office and IT equipment, material and supplies between EVENTS in order to have those available when such activity is scheduled or called.In addition to the storage requirements, the agency has also identified a need for delivery and labour services for the items kept in storage locally or an external storage facility and that are required to deliver EVENTS. EC currently uses the services of an external service provider to store its existing material (approximately 15,000 ft3) but has also converted some meeting rooms at the ECHQ offices to store IT equipment (approximately 10,000 ft3). Due to the COVID context, some rooms were converted to absorb some of the large equipment returns following the 44th general election held in September 2021. EC is in the process of cleaning-up the external storage facility and meeting rooms by disposing of obsolete or damage material to GC Surplus.Contract Award to March 31, 2026Three (3) additional one (1) year option periods.
