This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of The Blue Mountains (the “Town”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Consulting Services for Completion of an Economic Development Action Plan & Investment Readiness Strategy, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The Town is seeking a qualified economic development consultant (the Consultant) to prepare a practical, implementation-focused Economic Development Action Plan and Investment Readiness Strategy.The purpose of this project is to identify the practical actions the Town should undertake to support local businesses, strengthen priority economic sectors, improve investment readiness, and enhance the Town's long-term economic competitiveness.Unlike a traditional economic development strategy, the Town is seeking an implementation-focused action plan that focuses on initiatives that are realistic, achievable, and within the Town’s influence. The Consultant will identify opportunities for the Town to create measurable impact through municipal policies, programs, partnerships, investments, service delivery, and process improvements.The complete Action Plan will become the Town's primary roadmap for advancing economic development initiatives.Located between the Niagara Escarpment and the shores of Georgian Bay, the Town of The Blue Mountains is recognized as a premier four‑season destination offering a lifestyle as diverse as its natural surroundings.
