The EDA FY 2025 Disaster Supplemental Program is a competitive federal grant initiative designed to support areas facing severe economic distress caused by natural disasters, such as hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes, and floods, occurring in 2023 and 2024. Administered directly by the federal government, the program focuses on community-driven recovery and growth, emphasizing partnerships with private industry. Funding is available for both construction and non-construction projects that enhance economic development, infrastructure, and regional resilience. Applicants can pursue funding through three distinct pathways: the Readiness Path for capacity building and strategic planning, the Implementation Path for standalone recovery projects, and the Industry Transformation Path for coalition-led portfolios aimed at regional economic shifts. The program is currently active and accepting applications on a rolling basis, providing ongoing opportunities for eligible communities to secure discretionary funding for disaster recovery and long-term economic stability.
