The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 23d Contracting Squadron at Moody AFB, Georgia, has issued a solicitation for the procurement of two Edge-Lit Kits designed to support advanced communication and security operations. These systems must be capable of integrating multiple tactical data sources, including radios, TAK devices, and Link 16 capable equipment, to serve as the primary security element within Joint Security Areas. The systems should be agnostic to different radio manufacturers and capable of interfacing with edge routing and tactical transport solutions to facilitate long-distance reach back to higher headquarters. Ongoing support, both electronic and field service representative (FSR) assistance, will be necessary to adapt to evolving cyberspace threats and operational requirements. The solicitation emphasizes that funds are not yet available, and no contract award will occur until funding is secured. The government retains the right to cancel the solicitation at any point without obligation to reimburse offerors for their costs. Interested suppliers are encouraged to respond by September 12, 2025, and can contact designated points of contact via email or phone for further information. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334220 and is conducted without any set-aside restrictions, reflecting its open competitive nature.

Full Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items issued by the 23d Contracting Squadron, Moody AFB, Georgia. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation being issued for the requirement described herein. Moody AFB is looking for two Edge-Lit Kits. The system will need to allow for the integration of multiple different capabilities into one consolidated structure. The ability of this system to take in tactical operational data from multiple radios, TAK devices, and Link 16 capable equipment is paramount as the BDG functions as the primary security element for Joint Security Areas. Due to the nature of this mission, the BDG interacts with many Joint and Partner forces, and all of their communication systems. This disparate array of systems requires that any sort of aggregation system be agnostic to radio, and manufacturer. In addition to this, it needs to be capable of integrating with edge routing systems, and tactical transport solutions for long haul reach back for HHQ. Enduring support for this equipment will be required both electronically, and with FSR support as needed in order to adapt to an ever evolving cyberspace environment. "Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs."
