Educational Technology Tool/Solution

Project Kitty Hawk, issued by the UNC System Office in North Carolina, is soliciting proposals under RFP-EDTECH-2026-01 for a comprehensive educational technology solution. The goal is to implement a tool that enhances student engagement, supports authentic assessment, and enables students to communicate competencies while addressing the challenges of AI in higher education. Key functional requirements include adaptive and retrieval practice tools for measurable retention and writing and revision tools that provide iterative feedback. Eligible vendors must be incorporated legal entities with at least three years of experience in educational technology and provide three verifiable higher education references. Evaluation is conducted by a cross-functional committee using a weighted system where functionality and feature fit carry the most weight at 30 percent, followed by AI approach and academic integrity at 20 percent. The award will not necessarily go to the lowest priced bidder. Vendors must submit an itemized pricing structure capable of scaling over three years, along with documentation of financial stability and disclosures regarding ownership and potential conflicts of interest.
