AI Contract Overview

The Idaho Department of Administration is seeking an exemption from competition for the one-time removal and replacement of ten building windows at Building Four of the Chinden Campus. This procurement, identified by solicitation number 1043, is being pursued as a sole source or direct award to Architectural Glass and Glazing under IDAPA 38.05.01.042.05. The agency justifies this non-competitive approach based on urgency and impracticality, specifically citing short-notice occupancy requirements for new tenants moving into the office space. The request was posted on August 8, 2025, with a response deadline of August 13, 2025. While the DOP Administrator has the final discretionary authority to approve the exemption, suppliers are invited to submit information via the IPRO portal or email to support or contradict the claim that competition would be impractical or disadvantageous to the state. The project falls under NAICS code 238150 for Glass and Glazing Contractors, and the primary point of contact for the request is Mark Ward of the Department of Administration.
