El Dorado County Broadband Fiber Project

The El Dorado County Broadband Fiber Project involves the installation of approximately 11.39 miles of new underground fiber optic lines within the unincorporated communities of Coloma and Lotus in El Dorado County, California. The infrastructure will be placed within existing easements and previously disturbed road corridors and rights-of-way using construction methods such as jack and bore, trench, plow, and missile. No aboveground infrastructure is proposed. The project is managed by the County of El Dorado, with Robert Peters serving as the primary point of contact. Compliance and quality standards require adherence to the California Building Code, including Chapter 7A for exterior wildfire exposure, and the El Dorado County Grading, Erosion, and Sediment Control Ordinance.
