ELECTRIC VEHICLE(EV) FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE ONE-TON SUPER CAB PICKUP TRUCK 2026 OR NEWER MODEL YEAR

The City of Bakersfield is soliciting bids for the procurement of six new 2026 or newer model Electric Vehicle (EV) four-wheel drive one-ton super cab pickup trucks. The vehicles must feature a GVWR of 11,400 lbs, a minimum towing capacity of 16,000 lbs, a minimum payload of 4,000 lbs, and level 3 DC fast charging (200kw). All units must have a white exterior and meet all federal, state, and local safety standards. While the initial purchase is for six units, the City reserves the right to purchase additional units at the same per-unit cost for twelve months following the bid acceptance. Bids are due by 11:00 a.m. on September 24, 2026, and must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Purchasing Division. The contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible bidder offering the lowest price consistent with quality and service. A three percent local preference, capped at 9,000 dollars, is available to businesses located within Bakersfield city limits for bids exceeding 40,000 dollars. Suppliers are required to maintain broad form commercial general liability insurance of at least 1,000,000 dollars, including product liability and completed operations coverage. Delivery is FOB Destination to the Corporation Yard in Bakersfield, and payment terms are Net 30 days.
