Electrical Contractor Services

Flagler County Schools is soliciting bids from licensed electrical contractors to provide professional electrical services on an as-needed basis for its K-12 facilities, including campuses, administrative offices, maintenance facilities, athletic fields, and portable classrooms. The scope of work encompasses new installations, scheduled upgrades, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs, specifically covering circuits, receptacles, panels, conduit installation, grounding, bonding, and energy efficiency upgrades such as LED retrofits. Responses must be submitted electronically via the OpenGov portal by October 19, 2026, at 12:00 pm. The contract requires contractors to adhere to strict performance standards, including a one-hour response time via phone or email and a two-hour on-site technician arrival for emergency calls. All work must comply with the National Electrical Code, ADA standards, and OSHA regulations, and all materials must be 100% asbestos-free. Bidders must provide hourly rates for superintendents, general laborers, normal service calls, and emergency responses. Payment terms are Net 45 days via check or ACH. To be eligible, contractors must provide a valid certificate of insurance with a minimum A.M. Best rating of A- and list the School Board of Flagler County as an additional insured. Required documentation includes a notarized vendor application, proof of registration with the Florida Department of State, and a completed pricing proposal. Personnel may be subject to background screening per Florida Statute 1012.467 to ensure student safety. Award decisions will be based on ITB specifications, delivery timelines, and the best interests of the district.
