Electrical Maintenenace and Repair Services

The Florida Department of Corrections is soliciting bids under ITB-26-088 for general electrical maintenance and repair services at correctional institutions statewide. The scope of work includes routine inspections, troubleshooting electrical failures, minor installations, re-wiring, and the repair or replacement of electrical systems, parts, and fixtures. All work must comply with the Florida Building Code, National Electrical Code, and OSHA standards. The contract will be awarded to the responsible vendor offering the lowest grand total hourly labor rate per zone across eight designated zones, with a required minimum 10 percent discount on the manufacturer's suggested retail price for parts. Selected vendors must provide a 10,000 dollar performance guarantee within 10 business days of execution and offer a one-year warranty on all materials, labor, and repairs. Due to the nature of the work sites, strict security protocols are in place, including mandatory identification, rigorous tool control, and prior approval for powder-activated tools. Bidders must submit one original hard copy and one electronic copy in searchable PDF format. While the original deadline was August 25, 2026, Addendum 001 extended the bid submission deadline to October 6, 2026. Award preferences may be given to certified minority or veteran business enterprises, businesses with drug-free workplace programs, or those utilizing Florida-produced commodities.
