The Melbourne Airport Authority (MAA) is seeking bids to clear and prepare a building pad for a warehouse project on the Embraer campus. This first phase of the project will be for site preparation only. This is a Lump Sum Contract. The successful bidder will be responsible for maintenance of traffic, coordination with other contractors that may be doing work within the area, and for providing maximum support to the Melbourne Airport Authority and its tenants in maintaining their operations and other functions at times specified by the Owner during installation. Construction will occur while the airport is operational, and provisions will need to be made to accommodate existing airfield activities adjacent to the project zone. The Scope of Services for the Bidder as part of this Request includes all elements related to value engineering, scheduling, permitting, subcontractor bidding and contracting, supervision of the work, document control of all submittals, RFI`s, ASI`s, etc., coordination of inspections, commissioning, training and project close-out. It will be the responsibility of the awarded Bidder to coordinate their activities and schedules with Airport Operations, tenants, and any other contractors that may be working in the vicinity to minimize conflicts and delays. Special coordination and a high level of expectation by the Owner will be held on the selected Bidder to provide maximum coordination, support, and professionalism to this project.
