Full Description

The Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), Camp Pendleton, CA, intends to issue a sole-source purchase order for Emergency Dive support for Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch (AVTB) from 1 January 2018 to 28 February 2018. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements" the Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Priced purchase order to Mark V Lodge, Inc. The 60-day duration of this effort and the required transition phase will not provide sufficient time for a new contractor/vendor to be familiarized with the operation, mission, and safety requirements which will create undue jeopardy to the testing requirements of AVTB. The Government has determined the award of this purchase order as the most cost effective and efficient action to avoid a substantial duplication of costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition at this time.
