Hillsborough County is set to award a noncompetitive contract for emergency medical supplies to six suppliers, including Bound Tree Medical, LLC; Ever Ready First Aid and Medical Supply; Henry Schein, Inc.; Life-Assist, Incorporated; Medline Industries LP; and Nashville Medical & EMS Products, Inc., for a three-year term with a total value of approximately $11.45 million. This procurement is justified under the County’s emergency procurement policy, which allows for noncompetitive awards when timely access to supplies is critical and competitive processes are impractical. The contract will be managed based on the Fire Rescue Department’s needs, with pricing determined through competitive quotes at the time of each order. The County also retains the flexibility to extend, modify, or increase the scope and funding of the contract as necessary to respond to evolving conditions. Interested suppliers who believe they can provide equivalent products must submit detailed evidence supporting their claim before the deadline, which is set for May 16, 2024. The County will review any challenges to the award to determine if genuine competition exists. The contract’s primary contact is Linda Wheat, and further details are available through the County’s procurement portal. This approach ensures the County maintains a reliable supply of emergency medical items while allowing for potential inclusion of additional qualified vendors if they meet the specified requirements.

Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) System
Solicitation # RFI-27-00004
The Hillsborough County Property Appraiser is conducting market research through Request for Information RFI-27-00004 to identify experienced vendors and Florida-compliant Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) platforms. The primary objective is to replace the agency's legacy CustomCAMA software with a modern system capable of supporting core appraisal business functions, including Income Approach valuation, Multiple Regression Analysis, and condominium management. This initiative is purely exploratory for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation or a commitment to award a contract. Key technical requirements include native integration with Esri ArcGIS software, support for Google Street View, Picometry, and Near Map, and the use of cloud hosting models. The system must strictly adhere to Florida Statutes, specifically regarding Save Our Homes caps and TRIM processing. Security is a critical priority, requiring all data and backup centers to be located within the continental United States, support for SAML 2.0 / Azure AD for Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication, and rigorous data privacy controls. These controls must include role-based access and automated redaction to comply with Florida Chapter 119 confidentiality and exemption rules. Responses are due by November 6, 2026.
