Emergency Preparedness Course Development

The Ohio Department of Aging (AGE), Quality Initiatives Division is accepting proposals to create and facilitate a 3-course curriculum on Emergency Preparedness for nursing homes for the EXCEL Academy. The purpose of this training program is to equip nursing home staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from a variety of emergency situations—such as natural disasters, fires, loss of utilities (water, power), hazardous chemical emergencies, state-level emergency declarations—to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents and staff. As part of the proposal, the vendor will co-facilitate with AGE staff the weekly live webinar modules and participate in the weekly learning community. The content must contain didactic style training, small group scenario-based training activities, and learning community group discussion questions. AGE staff will provide the instructional design of the course content.
This Round is to reissue the solicitaton because of a change in the scope and dates of the project. This solicitation will be awarded to the supplier that submits the Quote that is the most advantageous to the State.In addition to the terms of this solicitation, the State of Ohio Standard Terms and Conditions apply to this solicitation. No other terms and conditions will be accepted. The awarded supplier will be required to sign a Contract for Services, an Affirmation and Disclosure Form, and, if applicable, the OPERS Independent Contractor Acknowledgment Form. This Contract is anticipated to begin December 1, 2026, but this date is subject to change. The Contract will expire at the end of the State fiscal year, June 30, 2027 but may be renewed for up to two additional one-year term(s) subject to appropriation of the Ohio General Assembly, the satisfactory performance of the selected supplier and the needs of the State.All Quotes must be submitted through OhioBuys.
