Sealed bids addressed to Beau Boyer, Budget & Purchasing Manager, for the purchase and installation of Emergency Standby Diesel Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches, entitled: City of Canyon IFB: Generators and ATS ATTN: Beau Boyer will be received at the Business Office at City Hall, 301 16th Street, Canyon, Texas, 790152 until November 9, 2026, 3:00 p.m. A copy of the Invitation for Bids and related documents is available on the City’s website at: www.canyontx.com/679/Purchasing . A cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond, payable to the City of Canyon in an amount equal to not less than five percent of the bid submitted, must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the Bidder will, within ten days after receipt of Contract Documents, enter into a contract with the City of Canyon and will execute bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Performance and Payment bonds shall be outlined in the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids if there is a sound documented reason. The City may waive minor informalities or irregularities that are not material. The City reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part, whichever results in the most economical approach. Important Dates: Pre-Bid Meeting: October 21, 2026, 10:00 a.m. Deadline for Questions: October 26, 2026, 5:00 p.m. Deadline for Submissions & Bid Opening: November 9, 2026, 3:00 p.m. Any bid received after the time and date listed above will be returned unopened and will not be considered. The City will award a firm-fixed-price contract to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of this Invitation for Bids, is lowest in price. This purchase is supported by federal funding. The selected bidder must comply with all applicable federal law, regulations, executive orders, FEMA policies, procedures, and directives as well as state and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. All bidders must not be debarred or suspended from the Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) of the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov .
