Emergency Water Service Repairs

The Ventura River Water District is seeking up to three qualified contractors for solicitation VRWD-2026-03 to perform emergency water service repairs in Ojai, California. The scope of work includes repairing ruptured or leaking water distribution lines and services, replacing valves, installing or repairing hydrant assemblies, and performing necessary pavement, sidewalk, and curb and gutter restoration. Services will be provided on an as-needed, time-and-materials basis for an initial term of three years, with the possibility of two additional one-year extensions. A critical requirement of this contract is the ability to mobilize and begin repairs within four hours of notification, which may be delivered via telephone, text, or email. Eligible proposers must hold a California Class A License and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations, adhering to prevailing wage rates for Ventura County. Required documentation includes a signed cover page with a Federal Tax ID, a five-year safety record, and certifications in safety, traffic control, and confined space. Contractors must maintain insurance coverage of at least 1,000,000 dollars per occurrence and 2,000,000 dollars in general aggregate limit, naming the District as additionally insured. Proposals are evaluated on a scale of 1 to 10 and must be submitted in PDF format to the designated point of contact by November 3, 2026.
