Southern California Edison is seeking approval to replace Utility Pole 782083H within the Caltrans Right-of-Way along State Route 57 at postmile 16.399, near the southwest corner of Orangethorpe Avenue and the SR-57 Northbound Off-Ramp. The new pole will be installed at the same location as the existing one, with the current Guy Anchor being reused to maintain structural support without altering the foundation or requiring additional ground disturbance. The proposed installation is situated less than 52 feet from the edge of the traveled way, remaining entirely within the existing state right-of-way without the need for new easements or staging areas. No additional land acquisition or disturbance beyond the current footprint is anticipated, though the total area of disturbed soil has not been quantified. The work is planned to proceed without impacting public access or requiring temporary closures beyond standard utility replacement protocols.
