End Fire Antenna

Awarded to Watts Antenna Company under solicitation FA460022P0038, this sole-source contract provides critical field support for the End-Fire Glide scope antenna system at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. The project, estimated at 40,700 dollars, is designed to support the reopening of runways through essential re-cabling, system setup, and flight inspection services. The scope of work includes preparing the proprietary antenna equipment for flight checks, ensuring a successful flight, and providing specialized training to Offutt AFB technicians to ensure the long-term maintenance of the system. The contract was managed by the Department of Defense through the FA4600 55 Cons Pkp agency. Following a site visit, a scope determination was issued to extend the performance period by five additional work days to address necessary repairs on disassembled apparatuses and cut wires. These additional repairs were deemed within the original scope of calibration and repair services required to return the system to operational status.
