The vehicle incurred damage to the passenger side rear compartment panel and center compartment door during a reversing incident. The work scope involves pickup of the fire engine from Moody AFB, removal and assessment of damaged parts, fabrication of aluminum patches to repair the vehicle’s body, installation of a new compartment door complete with necessary hardware, painting to match the existing exterior and interior compartment colors, and the application of the Department of the Air Force Fire Protection Maltese Cross logo on the repaired door. Following the repairs, the vehicle must be tested to ensure it is restored to operational condition before being returned to Moody AFB. Interested vendors must submit detailed responses by February 12, 2026, including company identification information, capability statements, and any applicable socio-economic status designations. The solicitation clearly states it is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a contract or commitment to pay for information provided. The work is broken down into line items for repair services, pickup, and return delivery of the fire engine.
