Full Description

Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) for Aerojet Rocketdyne. The AFTC Contracting Directorate (AFTC/PZRA), Edwards AFB CA, intends to award a sole-source contract to Aerojet Rocketdyne, 8900 DeSoto Ave, Canoga Park CA, 91034 for engine controller software (proprietary) maintenance and license agreement. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed price and the applicable NAICS code is 511210. The authority that permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is FAR 13.106(b)(1). This authority is supported by an approved Single Source Justification (attached). This notice neither constitutes a request for quote, invitation for bid, or request for proposal, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No costs will be paid for any charges incurred in responding to this notice. However, in accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses may be sent via email to charles.dodson@us.af.mil. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to competition, based on the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received affirmative written responses by 1600 hours on May 31, 2018 (PST), a sole source firm fixed price contract will be pursued with Aerojet Rocketdyne.
