Full Description

This requirement is for a Time and Materials/Labor Hour type contract for the procurement of engineering services to provide the Air Force with a redesigned AMRAAM Launcher Power Supply. This particular power supply is used on the LAU-127, LAU-128, and LAU-129 launchers. Engineering Services will be in accordance with the Performance Based Work Statement for the conclusion of successful Qualification EMI/Environmental testing, if necessary, and the delivery of a draft Test Report and proceed on through approval of an engineering change proposal (ECP) at the AMRAAM Joint Configuration Control Board at Eglin AFB, FL. This requirement also includes the delivery of a fully qualified new power supply design and the required technical data, change data, engineering change proposal (ECP) and Level III technical drawing package. The period of performance will be for 24 months. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or around 09 August, 2008, with a response date of on or around 09 September, 2008. The RFP is being issued on a sole source basis to Scientific Research Corporation (SRC), CAGE Code 0D5A6, in accordance with Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), "The property or services needed by the agency are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency."
