The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division is issuing a sole source purchase order to EDO LLC for specialized engineering services related to the MK-105 system. The scope of work involves the removal and preparation for return of specific special tooling, namely the Float Fixture and Wing Fixture, as well as performing necessary repairs to restore the production floor to its original condition. This project is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures with a total value not to exceed 250,000 dollars. EDO LLC was selected as the sole provider because they are the original equipment manufacturer and possess the unique resident knowledge required to safely disconnect electrical and hydraulic lines. The government has determined that utilizing an alternate source would risk significant costs due to potential equipment damage, failed operations, and the need for duplicate engineering services. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense and performed in Panama City, Florida.
