The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Executive Office (PEO) Air ASW, Assault, and Special Mission Programs (A), V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275), intends to award a delivery order under a future follow-on Basic Ordering Agreement to BAE Systems Controls Inc. of Endicott, NY. NAVAIR intends to procure non-recurring engineering, logistics support, training, hardware and software improvements, support equipment, enhancement kits, kit installs and spare parts in support of system and operational improvements to the V-22 Defensive Weapon System (DWS) Mission Kit. This award is based on Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), whereby the supplies or services required are available from only one source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BAE is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the DWS and is uniquely qualified to provide the complete range of program support required by the Fleet. BAE is the only known firm that possesses the technical data, resources and expertise necessary to fulfill the Government's requirements.
