The Air Force ISR Agency plans to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Science and Technology in Atmospheric Research Institute (STAR) LLC to enhance ensemble mesoscale modeling capabilities. The contract aims to optimize parameter settings for the Weather Research and Forecast Model (WRF) and the Pacific Northwest National Lab Integrated Lagrangian Transport (PILT) model. These improvements will support accurate representation of atmospheric conditions and the transport and dispersion of radiological effluent during simulations for various global regions of interest to the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC). This acquisition is considered noncommercial and will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 procedures. This sole source acquisition, classified under NAICS code 541712 with a size standard of 500, requires potential contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Registry and possess a DUNS number.
