Environmental Assessment for Solar PV Installation and EV Charger Upgrades at multiple City Facilities

The City of Fresno is initiating a project for the installation of solar photovoltaic rooftop and canopy systems along with associated electrical components at seven city facilities. Additionally, the project includes the installation of electric vehicle chargers at three of these locations to ensure compliance with the California Green Building Code. This effort is managed by the Public Works Department under the direction of Scott Mozier. An environmental assessment has determined that the project is categorically exempt under CEQA Guidelines Section 15303/Class 1, as the modifications are considered minor and will not result in facility expansion or adverse environmental impacts. A Notice of Exemption was filed on June 22, 2026, with the Fresno County Clerk and the Office of Planning and Research to formalize this status. The project is currently listed as a forecast with a posted date of June 24, 2026.
