The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department (Code 02) intends to award a contract for the manufacturing of Thermotron Environmental Conditioning Chambers and is seeking potential sources.  The requirement will be procured in accordance with the finalized statement of work, which will be released upon Request for Proposal (RFP) issuance.



This sources sought notice neither constitutes an RFP, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. This notice should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey.



Response Instructions:


All interested sources shall provide a company brochure or list of capabilities, product literature, organization name, address, a point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code.



It is suggested that respondents provide the following in the response:


  • A description of the item(s) that may be offered, should the government pursue procurement of these services.
  • Past performance in providing the requested and/or similar services,
  • A description of the respondent's technical and manufacturing capabilities,
  • A description of the respondent's safety plan and any additional safety certificates,
  • Company size (please identify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business).
