In accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act of 1970 (29 CFR 1960), DODI 6055.01, and AR 385–10, all areas and operations of each workplace must be inspected at least annually by qualified safety and occupational health personnel. An American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is classified as qualified safety and health personnel to fulfill these mandates.
The purpose of this contract is to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control potential health hazards at Maryland Army National Guard (MDARNG) Maintenance Facilities. The surveys will establish or update workplace baselines to document civilian and military employees' exposure histories and provide actionable recommendations for hazard control.
