Subject: Award a Sole Source Contract to Big Top Shelter Manufacturing (BTSM) FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source (except brand name) The U.S. Military Academy, Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), West Point, NY award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, Shelter Tent System engineered to match existing current DES shelters at the installation access control points provided by BTSM, for the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES). This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract is for the Shelter Tent System The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The Mission Installation Contracting Command - West Point on behalf of the United States Military Academy (USMA) Activity (ACRONYM) intends to award sole source, firm fixed price contract to (Big Top Shelter Manufacturing, Perry, Florida) for Shelter Tent System The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332311 Pre-Fabricated Building & Component Manufacturing with the associated size standard of 750 Employees.
