This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FA2860-16-T-0036 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13 guidelines. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-89. The 11th Contracting Squadron (11 CONS) at Joint Base Andrews, MD intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for the procurement of thermal imaging cameras and ancillary items. The thermal imaging cameras will be utilized by firefighters in order to locate fires and unconscious victims within facilities. If a person is unconscious inside a facility, this equipment will enable firefighters to immediately locate the victim due to the unit's capability to locate heat. The cameras will also enable firefighters to discover fires that are "hidden" inside walls, ceilings, or floors. Ultimately, these thermal imaging cameras will enable firefighters to pinpoint fires and quickly extinguish them before rapid spread throughout a burning structure. This requirement will be pursued as a 100% Woman-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113, for which the small business size standard is 750 employees. All responsible sources may submit an offer to be considered by the agency. For detailed information regarding the Government's requirement, please review the attached combined synopsis solicitation and specifications document.
