The Government of Canada wishes to acquire a three to six-acre (1 to 1.6 Hectares) piece of vacant land (with municipal services or the ability for approved well and septic) in the town of Shelburne. Subject lands must be located within a ten-kilometer radius of Exit 26 on Highway 103.
The site must meet the following criteria:
• 3-6 acres (1 to 1.6 hectares) in size;
• Be located near Exit 26 on Highway 103;
• Have arterial road frontage (direct road access or confirmation of ability to obtain access);
• Preferred to be zoned commercial, institutional or industrial;
• Preferably be rectangular in shape;
• Be in close proximity to amenities such as service stations, financial institutions and restaurants.
Information provided by the owner, or by the owner’s agent, shall include:
• A map showing the location of the lands;
• Site plan;
• Description of the current zoning;
• Details of services/utilities;
• A statement as to the nature of respondent’s rights in the land;
• A completed Phase I Site Assessment (if available);
• A completed Property Transfer Assessment Questionnaire.
The Government of Canada may request additional information. Agents submitting a response to this Request for Information shall provide the Government of Canada with a letter from the owner authorizing them to do so.
