This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS announcement; market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. UMSB Contracting has been tasked to solicit for and award a contract for Exterior Building Mural Painting in support of the 249th Engineering Battalion.
UMSB Contracting has been tasked to solicit for and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to furnish all labor, supervision, management, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, incidentals, and quality control necessary to prepare, paint, and complete an exterior mural on Building 1418, located at 9450 Jackson Loop, Fort Belvoir, Virginia 22060.
The purpose of this announcement and the attached Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is to gather industry comments, suggestions, or questions before the official release of the solicitation. The NAICS code for this action is 238320 – Painting and Wall Covering Contractors.
The 249th Engineer Battalion (Prime Power) intends to improve the exterior appearance of its headquarters at Building 1418 through the installation of a professionally painted exterior mural. The objective of this project is to create an enduring, visually appealing exterior mural that represents the unit's rich history, lineage, honors, and mission to service members, distinguished visitors, and guests, while protecting the existing substrate through commercial-grade exterior coatings.
