Extractors and Washer/Dryers, Installation, and Service for Tucson Fire Department

The City of Tucson Fire Department is soliciting proposals for the provision, installation, and long-term maintenance of commercial-grade laundry equipment. The scope of work includes the delivery and installation of 40 to 60 lb capacity washer extractors and commercial stackable or side-by-side washer/dryer units at various department locations. All equipment must be Energy Star certified and compliant with NFPA 1851 standards, specifically regarding turnout gear cleaning and G-force limits. The selected vendor is responsible for all installation tasks, including anchoring, electrical and drainage connections, and the removal of existing equipment. The contract features an initial one-year term with the City holding the sole option to extend for up to four additional one-year periods, ensuring a total potential service period of five years. Maintenance requirements include twice-yearly preventative maintenance for all units and the provision of emergency repair services for both regular business hours and nights/weekends. Proposals will be evaluated on a trade-off basis considering the method of approach, price, and the vendor's experience servicing fire departments. Awardees must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, including commercial general liability of 1,000,000 dollars per occurrence and 2,000,000 dollars general aggregate.
