F-16 Canopy Bows (Subassembly of F-16 Windshield Panel)

1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rater a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. The purpose of this is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determination if this effort can be competitive and/or a total small business set-aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 331524, Aluminum Foundries (Except Die-Casting) with size standard of 500 employees. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Government request all interested parties to respond to this notice if they can meet the Government's need regardless of their size standard. 2. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIRED SUPPLIES: 5 Year ID/IQ for F-16 Canopy Bows (PN 160D117102-5/ NSN 1560-00-583-7352FJ). See attached Source Qualification Statement (SQS). 3. INSTRUCTIONS: The Government request interested parties to submit a brief statement of their capability to manufacture and deliver "A" condition A-10 canopy bows. Please e-mail leslie.westcott.1@us.af.mil by Monday, 31 October 2016 at 1pm MST. Please include the following information: 1. Have you manufactured or sold same or similiar parts. If so, please list the customer's name with their point of contact information including their e-mail address, part number sold, when, unit price, and if they were delivered on time in "A" condition. 2. What is your company's name, CAGE Code, and DUNS number? 3. Who is your point of contact and what is their e-mail address and telephone number? 4. Is your company a small business for the above NAICS Code? If your company is a small business, is it also a women owned business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) business, HUB Zone business, service disabled veteran owned business, etc.? 5. Would you be supplying as a manufacturer or as a distributor? 6. Would your company manufacture the part or would it be subcontracted out to be manufactured and if so, what percentage? What manufacturing process would your company retain? 7. What other NAICS Code do you suggest for this acquisition and why? 8. Is there a GSA Schedule for this part? If so, what is the GSA Schedule number? 9. What is the anticipated First Article and production lead time and how can your company meet it? 10. Discuss any concerns you may have with our requirement or how you would better able to meet our requirement. Finally, please provide any anticipated Teaming arrangements and with what company. Please provide their capability statement. Any responses involving teaming arrangements should delineate between work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partner(s) in the prime's capability statement.
