F-16 Transmitter, Angle O

This notice serves as a combined Request for Information and Synopsis aimed at conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of meeting the agency’s requirements for a specific item, the F-16 Transmitter, Angle O. The objective is to ascertain whether commercial or non-developmental items are available that satisfy the needs of the Department of Defense while also promoting small business access to acquisition information and enhancing competition through identifying contracting and subcontracting opportunities. It is emphasized that this is not a solicitation for proposals or bids, nor does it represent a commitment by the Government to procure the item or compensate respondents for their submissions. The procurement involves an estimated quantity of seven transmitters, with one unit destined for DJOB00 and six for DJUE00, and an estimated delivery date of June 20, 2028. This requirement is not expected to be set aside for small businesses. The acquisition is justified under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as the supplies are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources. Identified firms of interest for potential subcontracting include Avionics Specialties, Lockheed Martin, and Aerosonic LLC. Although the Government does not plan to utilize commercial item acquisition policies under Part 12, interested parties are invited to express their interest and capability to provide commercial items within 15 days of the notice. Submissions such as capability statements, proposals, or quotations will be considered, and the procurement is subject to applicable Free Trade Agreements.
