The Department of Defense, through DLA Weapons Support, is conducting market research via a combined Request for Information and Synopsis to identify capable sources for aircraft wing assemblies. The government intends to establish a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract featuring five one-year ordering periods for an estimated maximum quantity of 45 units across four specific part numbers. This requirement is not expected to be set aside for small businesses. Due to the technical nature of the components, the contract requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to ensure part quality. Potential contractors must possess the necessary design capabilities and manufacturing knowledge, and any alternate sources must undergo a qualification process approved by the government engineering activity. Interested parties are encouraged to submit capability statements or quotations to the primary point of contact, Kody Quayle.
