Full Description

Fort Pickett is offering for sale approximately 430 (tons) of pine, and 1,601 (tons) of hardwood on approximately 17 acres at Fort Pickett, Blackstone, Virginia. The total number of items for this sale is one (1). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers on 5 February 2015. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 5 February 2015 at 10:00 a.m. local time. This is the only opportunity interested vendors will have to view the timber. This sale will be sold by weight. Attached is a volume summary of designated trees. All Trees will be conveyed to the purchaser via written contract. This contract contains a clause requiring the purchaser to have insurance in such amounts needed to protect the seller from all liability, which might arise from the purchaser's performance of the contract. The above advertiser herein declares they have the legal right to advertise and dispose of the designated trees. Any vendor awarded any portion of this contract must be registered in the System for Award Management database. Registration may be accomplished at www.sam.gov. The Contracting Officer for the Virginia Army National Guard has the right to accept or reject any and all sealed bids after they have been made public as advertised. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Interested parties must submit any questions in writing using the attached Request for Information (RFI) form to the Contracting Officer listed below, by fax 434-298-6202 or email prior to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10 February 2015.
