This contract covers a five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed-price award for the supply of the F100-PW-229 Combustion Chamber, a critical engine component that facilitates fuel and compressed air combustion necessary for engine operation in the F100-229 engine. The contract consists of a basic one-year period with four additional one-year options and includes both United States Air Force (USAF) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) quantities. The estimated quantities range annually from 60 to 65 units for USAF deliveries and 2 units for FMS, with scheduled deliveries beginning 30 days after receipt of order for USAF and 60 days for FMS. The contract also includes data delivery requirements aligned with the DD Form 1423 Contract Data Requirements List. Procurement will be conducted electronically, with source selection based solely on price. Certain qualification criteria and unique item identification requirements apply, particularly if unit prices exceed $5,000. Foreign participation is restricted and subject to export control regulations; U.S. contractors must be certified with the Defense Logistics Services Center and submit approved DD Form 2345. The solicitation encourages early communication from Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) countries and includes provision for an Ombudsman to address concerns during proposal development. Deliveries are FOB origin, shipped to designated DoDAAC addresses, with all offers required in English and U.S. dollars. No commercial item acquisition procedures under FAR Part 12 are used, but interested parties may submit commercial item capabilities within a defined timeframe.
